It’s been one year since we started this wild adventure, and honestly… it feels like we’ve been training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Day after day, night after night, we pushed forward like true anime protagonists chasing their next transformation.
And now? We’ve reached our “perfect form” stage – just like Cell in Dragon Ball Z. 💥 After countless hours of design, trial and improvement, ShonenCorp is standing strong with over 150 products live. From the very first sketches to the final prints, every single piece has been created with the same passion and obsession we had on day one.
Dragon Ball Z has become one of the clearest examples of what we want a ShonenCorp collection to become: a universe explored through different characters, moments, fits and visual styles rather than just a handful of designs.
But ShonenCorp was never meant to stop at the biggest anime names. Part of the project has always been about giving space to other universes we genuinely love, including cult classics and series with completely different visual identities.
Exploring Beyond the Biggest Anime Collections
Our Kenshin / Samurai X collection brings another side of Japanese culture into ShonenCorp, with designs inspired by the world and characters of Rurouni Kenshin. Pieces like the Kenshin Shishio Hoodie give us the opportunity to explore a darker samurai aesthetic while keeping the streetwear direction of the brand.
Afro Samurai is another universe that naturally fits what we love. Its mix of Japanese sword culture, hip-hop influences and distinctive visual identity makes it especially interesting for graphic streetwear. Our Afro Samurai Oversized Tee is one example of how we’ve translated that atmosphere into a larger back-print design.
Then there’s Evangelion, a completely different universe again. Its iconic imagery and unique visual language give us another direction to experiment with, from the Evangelion Third Impact Hoodie to the Evangelion Finale Episode Regular Tee.
Collections like these are an important part of what we want ShonenCorp to be. Dragon Ball Z may represent the most developed version of our vision today, but the long-term goal is to keep giving other universes the time and attention they deserve.
More Than Just Numbers
What makes us even more hyped is how far this journey has already taken us. We’re not just a website anymore. Thanks to you, our community, we’ve had amazing sales through Instagram, TikTok and Etsy. Seeing anime fans around the world wear ShonenCorp tees is the biggest reward we could ever ask for.
But this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about the adventure. Every message, every shoutout and every order reminds us why we started: to celebrate anime culture with creativity, authenticity and a little bit of madness.
We’re incredibly grateful to all of you who joined us from the very beginning and to those just discovering us now. This is only the start – and trust us, we’ve got way more transformations ahead. 🚀
Thank you for being part of this story. The journey continues, and together, we’ll keep leveling up.
UPDATE: Another year has passed since this post was originally published. ShonenCorp has now reached its second anniversary, and the project has continued to evolve with a stronger focus on Dragon Ball Z, Samurai Champloo and Vagabond, while even more collections are set to grow next.
